Drew McHolm's Scottish brogue gives him away immediately. Born in Glasgow and adopted as a baby, he grew up influenced by two powerful forces: an adoptive mother who was an avid reader and his greatest creative inspiration, and an adoptive father whose deep faith and tireless work ethic taught Drew the value of finishing what you start and pushing through whatever life puts in your way. In his early twenties, Drew worked as a railwayman and a steelworker before being invited to become a youth minister and worship leader at his local church. Over the years he has been an entrepreneur, a business leader, and a working musician and singer. Today, this Scottish author serves as pastor at the historic Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa, and he has recently published his first novel, Minister of Justice. Drew and his wife Jesse live in Iowa and also have a home in Round Rock, Texas.

Drew's mother was an avid reader who ignited his love of storytelling. His father's deep faith and strong work ethic played a vital role in shaping his character. While his mother’s passion for books may have partially inspired him to write the Minister of Justice novel, it was his father's tenacity to always finish what he started that ultimately provided him with the encouragement needed to complete the task.
Born in Glasgow and living in Scotland for the first 30 years of his life, Drew, a Scottish author, is deeply influenced by the history of the British Isles. His keen knowledge of the IRA conflict era informs his novel, 'Minister of Justice.' In this story, his Scottish protagonist, Peter Kennedy, encounters a series of moral challenges that no rulebook can resolve.
